Regenerative Medicine

Harness the body's own natural healing process through the practice of regenerative medicine.  The healing process can be stimulated through the use of Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP, exosomes, amniotic fluid, or Wharton's Jelly.  These compounds can be used to improve chronic joint and tendon problems, rejuvenate your skin, and stimulate hair growth.

Regenerative Medicine - Botox Oahu

Regenerative Medicine Treatments like (PRP), exosomes, and amitotic fluid can help heal joints, tendons, enhance hair restoration, and rejuvenate the skin. These compounds contain growth factors that can trigger cell proliferation, speed healing and stimulate tissue regeneration in the treated area.

Regenerative Medicine has been used to support wound healing in trauma and joint injury. The technique can address male and female baldness, stimulate the growth of hair transplants and enhance other cosmetic procedures like microneedling.  The results of regenerative medicine treatments are most noticeable after several months and can be very long lasting.

Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet-Rich Plasma makes up less than 1% of blood by volume.  55% is plasma and 45% is red blood cells.  PRP is full of Platelets which release chemicals that trigger the body's own healing powers - Platelets concentrate in wounds when tissue is disrupted and blood vessels breached.  Platelets stop the bleeding and release factors that cause the cells in the injured tissue to multiply and the wound to heal.  When the PRP is injected into your joints, tendons, face or scalp it stimulates dormant stem cells to multiply and repair tissue.

Amniotic Fluid

The amniotic fluid we use has been sterilized through electron beam irradiation.  Our amniotic fluid is sourced from ethical fluid donations at the time of a normal, full-term, and healthy cesarean section delivery. All donors are thoroughly screened and tested to meet the required standards for fluid and tissue donation.  The amniotic fluid maintains its natural regenerative qualities from collection all the way through to application.  Amniotic fluid is rich in cytokines, healing factors, growth hormones which can stimulate the body's healing process

We believe you should try Amniotic fluid injections before resorting to surgery on many occasions, as the complication rate is much lower with injections compared to surgery.  Many of our patients have significantly delayed or avoided surgery by using amniotic fluid's regenerative power.

Exosomes

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles, which are tiny fluid-filled sacs or nanoparticles that originate in many different types of cells in the body, including stem cells.  The exosomes that we use are isolated from ethically sourced amniotic fluid and is a concentrate of the healing and growth factors present.

Exosomes have been shown to carry cell-specific cargos—or exosomal cargos—of proteins, lipids and nucleic acids like RNAs, which can be selectively transferred to recipient cells in the body (located both near and far). Through a form of cell-to-cell communication—or intercellular communication—known as paracrine signaling, exosomes deliver tiny messages (biochemical signals) from cell to cell, which alter the behavior of the recipient cells.

By manufacturing and deploying exosomes, the cells are able to orchestrate the regeneration of tissue, help control inflammation, repair injuries and support regenerative therapies to treat certain diseases.

Donor blood is tested for the following communicable diseases:

-Syphilis (STS)

-Hepatitis B Virus (Surface Ag, Core Ab, NAT)

-Hepatitis C Virus (Ab, NAT)

-Human T-lymphotropic virus, type I (Ab)

-Human T-lymphotropic virus, type II (Ab)

-Human immunodeficiency virus, type O (Ab, NAT)

-Human immunodeficiency virus, type 1 (NAT)

-Human immunodeficiency virus, type 2 (Ab)

-Cytomegalovirus (Ab)

-West Nile Virus (NAT)

Donors are also screened for social histories and high-risk behaviors that may make them a more at-risk demographic for communicable diseases.

Wharton's Jelly

Wharton’s jelly is a substance found in the umbilical cord that contains mesenchymal stem cells.  Below are referenced multiple peer-reviewed published science articles demonstrating the efficacy of Wharton's Jelly in the treatment of chronic degenerative diseases like Degenerative Disk Disease, Vertebral Compression Fracture, Osteoarthritis, and Peripheral Nerve injury.  We have had miraculous results with these treatments.  This is the future of medicine available today.

Dark Circles

As we age, the amount of collagen and extracellular matrix in our skin decreases, which can lead to dark circles under the eyes. In the past, these circles have been difficult to treat because this area is tricky to use dermal filler in. However, researchers have found that amniotic fluid is an effective treatment for this issue. Amniotic fluid contains Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Growth Factors, and Exosomes that can spur cellular repair and improve tissue consistency. This treatment will result in permanent improvement in your appearance.

Umbilical Cord Derived

Wharton’s jelly derived from the umbilical cord has several advantages over other forms of stem cell therapy.  As you can see from the table below.  The Umbilical Cord Derived from Wharton's Jelly has a higher concentration of the growth factors, extracellular matrix, and collagen.
