🌱 Stem Cell Hair Restoration (WJ‑MSC) — Before & After Care

This guide helps you prepare for your Stem Cell Hair Restoration treatment and understand what to expect afterward. These are general care principles designed to support comfort, healing, and optimal scalp health.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

🧼 1. Arrive With a Clean Scalp

  • Wash your hair the night before or the morning of your appointment.

  • Avoid heavy conditioners, oils, sprays, gels, or hair fibers.

  • Come with dry, product‑free hair.

🚫 2. Avoid Scalp Irritants

For 48 hours before treatment:

  • No harsh shampoos

  • No chemical treatments (coloring, perms, relaxers)

  • No heavy sun exposure to the scalp

💊 3. Medications & Supplements

If you take medications or supplements that affect bleeding or inflammation, discuss them with your clinician in advance. (This is general information — always follow your clinician’s guidance.)

🍷 4. Avoid Alcohol & Smoking

These can affect circulation and scalp sensitivity.

😌 5. Comfort Measures

We use:

  • Topical numbing

  • Nitrous oxide (optional)

  • Gentle mesotherapy techniques

Wear comfortable clothing and plan for a relaxed appointment.

Your treatment includes:

  • Topical numbing

  • Scalp cleansing

  • Nitrous oxide for comfort

  • Multiple micro‑depot placements using a mesotherapy needle

  • Optional light microneedling for added stimulation

This procedure involves multiple needle sticks which is why the use of Nitrous Oxide is so cruitial to making this a pleasant experience.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

🧊 1. Managing Tenderness

It’s normal to feel mild soreness, tightness, or sensitivity for 24–48 hours.

General comfort measures may include:

  • Cool compresses (wrapped in a clean cloth) for comfort

  • Avoiding heat on the scalp for the first 24 hours

🔥 2. Warmth & Circulation

After the first day, some patients find that gentle warmth (like a warm shower) feels soothing and supports circulation. (This is optional and based on comfort — not required.)

🧴 3. Washing Your Hair

  • You may wash your hair the next day with a gentle shampoo.

  • Avoid harsh products, medicated shampoos, or exfoliating scrubs for 72 hours.

  • Do not use hair fibers, sprays, gels, or dry shampoo for 24 hours.

🚫 4. Avoid These for 24–48 Hours

  • Sweating, heavy exercise, or hot yoga

  • Hats, helmets, or tight headwear

  • Saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs

  • Sun exposure to the scalp

  • Scratching or picking at the treated area

🌞 5. Sun Protection

If your scalp is exposed, use a physical sunscreen or wear a loose hat after the first day.

🩹 6. What’s Normal

You may notice:

  • Mild redness

  • Pinpoint marks

  • Light swelling

  • Temporary shedding (“shock loss”) in some cases

These typically resolve on their own.
