Nitrous Oxide via Nitronox for Pain Management
Nitronox-delivered nitrous oxide sedation is a safe and effective way to reduce pain and anxiety during aesthetic procedures.
Nitronox delivers a 50/50 mix of oxygen and nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, through a mouthpiece that the patient controls. The gas acts quickly to provide a mild euphoria and analgesia, making the procedure nearly painless. Nitronox nitrous oxide sedation is ideal for patients who want to avoid pain and have a more pleasant and relaxing experience during their aesthetic treatments.

Dr Kathy Schaefer has personally tried out all of the aesthetic treatment modalities she offers. She wanted to personally know which are the most effective and safe. As a by-product of this Dr Schaefer knows which procedures are painful and what can be done to minimize or eliminate the discomfort associated with them.

On arrival at the office you will be administered topical anesthetic, this is given early in the visit as it takes several minutes to take full effect. For repeat patients a topical anesthetic agent is prescribed so you can apply this at home before your next visit to give it extra time to work. Placing saran wrap over the cream potentiates its effect.

A vibratory distraction device is used which is surprisingly effective in minimizing pain. Many patients have liked this so much that they have purchased one for their use.

For full facial treatments that involve microneedling, a special occlusive mask is applied after the topical anesthetic agent to potentiate the numbing effect.

For procedures like the Vampire Make Over or PRP Hair restoration are veryy effective but, can be quite uncomfortable. We now offer Nitrous Oxide to alleviate any discomfort associated with our aesthetic procedures.
