CO2 Fractional Laser

Exciting News! We're thrilled to introduce a powerful new treatment to our suite of aesthetic services here at [Your Clinic Name/Located on Oahu]: CO2 Fractional Laser!

If you're looking to dramatically improve skin texture, tone, and address signs of aging or scarring, this advanced resurfacing technology might be the answer.

What is CO2 Fractional Laser?

This cutting-edge treatment uses concentrated laser energy to create tiny micro-channels in the skin's surface. By treating only a fraction of the skin at a time (hence "fractional"), it stimulates your body's natural healing process and boosts collagen production, while leaving surrounding tissue intact for faster recovery compared to traditional ablative lasers.

What Can It Treat?

CO2 Fractional Laser is highly effective for:

  • Reducing fine lines and wrinkles (face, neck)

  • Improving the appearance of acne scars and surgical scars

  • Minimizing sun damage, age spots, and uneven pigmentation

  • Addressing rough skin texture

  • Revitalizing the skin on the face, neck, and hands

What to Expect During and After Treatment:

During the procedure, you may feel a sensation of warmth or heat, often described as a quick snapping feeling. We use topical anesthetics and cooling to ensure your comfort.

Immediately after treatment, the area will appear red, swollen, and may feel warm, similar to a significant sunburn. Over the next few days, the skin will become dry and begin to peel or flake as the damaged cells are shed.

Understanding Recovery:

It's important to understand that CO2 Fractional Laser treatment requires significant downtime and a commitment to aftercare.

  • Initial redness and swelling typically subside within the first 3-7 days.

  • Peeling can last for about a week or slightly longer.

  • Full recovery, meaning the skin is no longer actively peeling and the intense redness has faded, can take several weeks.

  • It is very common to experience residual pinkness in the treated area for weeks, or even months, as your skin continues its deep healing and remodeling process.

Detailed post-treatment instructions will be provided to help you manage your recovery and optimize results.

Important Consideration:

CO2 Fractional Laser is not suitable for individuals with darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick Skin Types IV-VI) due to a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin). During your consultation, we will assess your skin type and medical history to ensure this is a safe and appropriate treatment option for you.

Is CO2 Fractional Laser Right For You?

If you're seeking dramatic improvement in skin quality, scar reduction, or anti-aging results and are prepared for the necessary recovery period, CO2 Fractional Laser could be an excellent option.
