Keep a Migraine Diary

If you're trying to identify your migraine triggers, it can be helpful to keep a migraine diary. This is a record of your migraines, including the date, time, and any possible triggers you noticed before the migraine started. This can help you and your healthcare provider identify patterns and determine potential triggers.

To avoid triggering migraines, try to:

  • Get enough sleep and maintain a consistent sleep schedule

  • Manage stress through techniques like relaxation, exercise, and therapy

  • Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid known triggers

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water

  • Take breaks from screens and bright lights

It's worth noting that not all migraines can be prevented, and what works for one person may not work for another. If you're struggling with migraines, it's essential to work with a healthcare provider to develop a treatment plan that's right for you.

Below is an example migraine diary, click it to save a copy to your device.  It will help you find patterns to identify possible migraine triggers.  If you can find out what, if any, migraine triggers you have you can use this knowledge to avoid those stimuli.
