We use Stem Cells derived from Amniotic Fluid hair restoration procedures. The naturally occurring stem cells in PRP tend to lose their potency as we age.  We have had much better results with Stem Cells derived from Amniotic Fluid as compared to PRP in our older patients for hair restoration.

The procedure starts with numbing of the scalp with a topical lidocaine. We recommend Nitrous Oxide sedation as the procedure does cause discomfort.  Then using mesotherapy - multiple tiny needles are repeatedly inserted into the scalp and Amniotic Fluid is injected into the dermal tissue where the hair follicles are located.  This sends chemical messages to the dormant hair follicles to start growing. The effect can be further enhanced with a microneedling treatment to further stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles. We also recommend the daily use of topical Minoxidil to increase blood flow to the hair follicles and can provide you with a prescription for Finasteride tablets which also stimulate hair growth.

Ideally, the hair restoration procedure should to be repeated at about 3 months and then every couple years to achieve the maximal effect, but the results are worth it.
